Steven Edwards is a classically trained chef and the youngest-ever winner of MasterChef: The Professionals, claiming the title in 2013. Praised by Michel Roux Jr. for his “expertly cooked, elegant, and fault-free” dishes, Steven’s career began with training under top chefs, including Raymond Blanc, before joining South Lodge Hotel in Sussex. Starting as a Chef de Partie at The Pass Restaurant, he rose to become Head Chef of The Camellia at just 25, earning accolades such as Sussex Young Chef of the Year in 2010.

Following his MasterChef win, Steven launched etch. by Steven Edwards in Brighton & Hove in 2017 after three years of successful pop-ups. The restaurant features ingredient-led, seasonal tasting menus and has received numerous awards, including 3 AA Rosettes and recognition in the Harden’s UK and Restaurant Magazine Top 100 lists. In 2021, Steven expanded etch. with a speakeasy-style cocktail bar, ink, creating a more immersive dining experience.

In 2023, Steven expanded further with EVENTS by Steven, catering for weddings, corporate events, and private dining, and partnered with Brighton & Hove Albion FC to launch The Tunnel Club, offering premium matchday dining. Steven continues to push boundaries with a focus on local produce, innovation, and exceptional hospitality.
