Spencer Metzger MCA is an award-winning British chef whose career began at The Ritz London, where a two-week work experience placement at 15 turned into a 13-year journey, rising to Head Chef. In 2019, he won the prestigious Roux Scholarship, completing a stage at three-Michelin-starred Frantzén in Stockholm, and was later named Champion of Champions on Great British Menu.
Spencer is now Executive Chef at Row on 5 in Mayfair with Jason Atherton, which was awarded two Michelin stars in February 2026, cementing his reputation for precision, discipline and modern classical cooking.
