From starting as a pot washer in Birmingham at 13, Adam Smith has risen to become one of the UK’s most celebrated chefs, renowned for his ethos of “taste is king” and a mastery of classically-inspired cuisine with modern flair.

Adam’s career began at The Ritz under John Williams, where he quickly advanced to executive sous chef. By 2012, he had garnered prestigious accolades, including Observer Food Monthly’s Young Chef of the Year and the Roux Scholarship, with Michel Roux Sr. dubbing him “one to watch.”

In 2013, Adam became head chef at The Devonshire Arms, where his leadership earned The Burlington Restaurant four AA Rosettes. In 2016, he joined Coworth Park, part of the Dorchester Collection, as executive chef. Under his direction, Restaurant Coworth Park earned its first Michelin star in 2018 and numerous accolades, including Adam’s designation as a Master of Culinary Arts.

In 2022, Adam unveiled Woven by Adam Smith at Coworth Park, blending classic techniques with contemporary creativity. Awarded a Michelin star and five AA Rosettes within its first year, Woven has set new culinary standards.

Adam’s 2025 highlights include representing the Central Region on Great British Menu, where his fish course triumphed at the banquet in Paris, and hosting the Celebrity MasterChef finals at Woven.
